TRAPPED IN THE ACT

This was sent to my email box this morning and i felt its a good Food for Thought and everybody seems to be a victim of this that is why i am putting it up for you. Do read.....

A construction supervisor from the
27th floor of a building was calling
a worker on the ground floor.
Because of the noise, the worker did
not hear him.
To draw the attention of the worker,
the supervisor threw a 200 Naira note
in front of worker.
The worker picked up the note, put it
in his pocket and continued to work.

Again to draw the attention of the
worker, the supervisor threw 1000 Naira note.
This time also, the worker quickly
picked it and put in his pocket.

Now the supervisor picked a small stone and threw it at the worker.
The stone hit the worker.

What did the worker do?

He looked up and the supervisor was
now able to communicate with him.

Now think for a second...

God wants to communicate with us, but most times, we are too busy on other things.

Then, he gives us small gifts and maybe big gifts, we just keep them.

We keep on enjoying the gifts without
making out time to thank him.

We think we are LUCKY, and maybe smarter than others.

And when we're hit with a "small stone", which we call PROBLEMS, then we remember God.

That's when we look up to pray and
communicate with Him.

We start to speak in tongues and fast
for days... attending all night vigils.

God gives and forgives but we get and forget...

I'm not a pastor, but I got this advice
for us today:

"Let's change our attitude. Don't wait
for "stones" to be thrown... before
appreciating what God does for you"

Make it a point to always thank him.

He can exist without our thanks, but
can we exist without his favours?
